Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of hair-thin, sterile needles in specific locations of the body.  It has been used for thousands of years to help the body heal from a wide range of conditions.

Point locations are selected and personalized to address the root cause of your symptoms. Acupuncture achieves this by communicating to your body there is an issue in a specific area, and stimulates your body to release the appropriate hormones to and/or reduce inflammation in the correct area. In the end, it is your body doing the healing, the needles are helping the body know where to heal.

Cupping

Cupping is a technique using suction to release stagnation in certain areas. This can be used for issues with muscle tension or soreness, facia, respiratory, circulation, lymphatic drainage, and more.

Most patients begin to feel some relief immediately from this therapy. After treatment, there will be some ‘sha’, which is a mark from where the cup was. This will typically last a week and is not painful.

Cupping will be added to your treatment if applicable to your condition.

Herbal Formulas

Chinese herbal formulas have been used for thousands of years to treat a wide range of conditions. Each prescribed formula is rooted in a classical formula and then modified to your specific needs.

These formulas can be prescribed in three forms: patent pills which are small round pills, encapsulated granules, and raw granules. Raw granules do have a taste associated with them, so for patients who are averse to the taste, patent pills or encapsulated granules will be prescribed. After your treatment, the herbal formula prescribed will be ordered and sent to your home address.
